SNAKES AND BEARS

When the parents are away the kids will play. Not really, but they did have some excitement Matt went out side to do some thing, looked up and there stood a bear in his yard. To bad he didn't have a camera with him. Later in the day they ran in to a snake in the yard. Dylann didn't want anything to do with the snake, but her little brother wasn't afraid.

Brave little Marshall checking out the snake his daddy was holding

Poor little guy was not feeling well, but he was brave enough to have it around his neck. Not me.

He is really checking out that little snake guy.

THIS ONE IS FOR MATT

While most of my postings involve our grandchildren this time we are moving on to something different. We are on a short road trip and visiting Titusville's Queen /Schatt & Morgan Cutlery and the newer Great Eastern Cutlery. Beside cutlery companies they have a number of very fine restaurant. Our favorite is the Blue Canoe which is a fabulous restaurant and a small in house brewery a very nice atmosphere. Our son Matt enjoys micro breweries and their products. While we were waiting for our meal Ron decided to wall around and take a few pictures just so he could show Matt.... A sampler of seven and it NO it was not Ron's, but he did ask the couple who had it if he might take a picture. He told them that look like something his son would enjoy.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Although I named this posting " A Day In The Life" this posting does not really show what a day in the life of Tayler and Sydney is. My posting has picture of them that only show what two hours of their day might be. They so busy, especially when summer rolls around. When they wake they start moving they don't stop until their heads meet their pillow. They love swimming, carnivals, Hershey Park, having friends over. Along with all of that, they also find time for Bible School, riding their bikes, play school, practice their art work and now they are getting ready to begin their soccer season. Sydney will be playing this year too. She plays one night a week and Tayler another night. They will probably each play a game on Saturday too. I do have a few pictures of them waking in the morning and just playing around in their play room.

Tayler's spot in the toy room. She's always getting her things together to play school or do an art project.
Sydney building her little spot in the playroom.

More of Sydney having fun.

Tayler looks like she is getting ready to play school.

Oh no Sydney. Isn't that Tayler's spot?

Sydney, You are not sticking your tongue at me?

Say cheese. Notice that Tayler is finally getting her second teeth in.

Funny faces from funny girls.

PICNIC TIME / PLAY TIME

Last Saturday we had a picnic at Matt and Ryann's home. It was a hot day but nothing like the last couple days. Matt made sure that the children had fun with a slip and slide and they always have fun playing on their great swing set / fort. We had lots of good fun, as usually and just enjoyed spending time with family. Pappy and I both were taking pictures and some were taking at a distance. You can tell from the pictures the children all had fun and that's what is important.

A little blurred, but I can name Dlyann and Tayler, for sure.
More of the same. Dylann and Tayler are in mid swing.
On the double swing are Cameron, Sydney and McKenzie.
Cameron and McKenzie are friends of Erin, Tayler and Sydney.

Five little girls playing together and then there was our little guy Marshall.
He just can't get away from all these girls, except when it's his cousins visiting. Then it's Dylann's who can't get away from the boys.

Tayler with Uncle Matt in the background.

Sydney with McKenzie. Sydney really likes McKenzie, especially when she carries her around on her back.

Marshall.... He has the swings all to himself.

Sydney on her way up the ladder. Not sure if she's going up to go down the slide or to the fort.

Now he has the sand box all to himself.

Cameron, another red head and Dylann. She looks like she could fit right in with Dylann and Marshall.

Sydney on her way to the slip and slide.

Matt on his way to the grill. He had three going. (I think)

More of the same

And tractor rides too. Marshall will take anyone a ride in the wagon.

MORE SUMMER FUN

The girls love amusement parks. They go to the home town summer carnival, but the rides there are not what they love. They get into roller coasters and every other wild ride. Mommy made the suggestion that maybe we would like to get them there birthday presents early and buy them each a pass to Hershey Park. This pass is good all year, so maybe it will be something we can get them for Christmas too. We did buy them in May so they will get 7 months use of them. They will be able to enjoy the rides as long as the rides are running. They will also enjoy them during the Christmas season, plus you can visit all the other Hershey Entertainment spots and it is all FREE . (with their pass) So on to the fun pictures of there visits to Hershey, plus they did spend some time at an amusement park while in Ocean City. STANDING UP!!!!! Here comes Sydney down the big slide. Hopefully since she is at the bottom she stood up then.

CLOWNS. I wonder who are the real clowns?

Up they go on the frog hopper.

Down on the ground once again.

Pappy wondered if they were fighting since they were not sitting beside each other.

Mommy in the stocks?

Sydney too, but Mommy had to put here there.

Boy I don't like this ride, especially when it is really the big ship. You feel like you are going to fly out. I remember being on this when our kids were little. I was pretty sure with Erin being so small she was on her way out.

Brave little Sydney with her arms in the air.

BEACH FUN FOR TAYLER AND SYDNEY

Tayler and Sydney enjoyed a four day weekend with the Mommy at Ocean City over July 4. They had a wonderful time and both have a beautiful tan. I know, I know, SUNSCREEN. They use it always, but they tan, something I don't do, but did as a kid. No sunscreen in that day and age. This is the second trip to an ocean destination in the last two months. I know there is another vacation in September to the Outer Banks, so if someone would take them in August they will have been to the ocean every month during the summer vacation. Very, very fortunate little girls.

Beautiful Tayler. I love this color on her with her tan. Actually Tayler has a very olive complexion so she always looks tan, just a little darker here.
And another little lovely lady on the beach, Sydney

Tayler smiling pretty and Sydney playing in the sand. She told me today that she didn't dig in the sand once. Not sure what it is, but anything I suggest she may have done she always tells me she didn't do that.

Have you ever seen a prettier shade of BLUE?

Looks like that is the base of a sand castle to me Sydney, so don't tell me you didn't dig in the sand.

When I first looked at this picture I thought Tayler was sitting on a chair and being buried in the sand. Now I realize that it is the back of her boggie board.

What a dirty little belly!!!

Almost to her neck.

Good thing she doesn't mind SAND.
