HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD

It's hard to believe, but if my Dad were still alive he would be celebrating his 84th birthday. He has been gone for almost 22 years and as time goes by the memories are so sweet of him. He loved us so much and I remember all the time he spent with me as a girl. Every Saturday morning most kids would watch cartoons. Not me, my dad took me to the library every Saturday. No wonder I love to read. I could always count on him for a ride to take my friends and me to the skating rink or the movies. Dad enjoyed people and was a real people person. He had a great sense of humor and made you laugh often. Not only did he love my mom, brother and me he loved Ron and Pat as his own children. Matt and Erin meant so much to him and he spent a lot of time with them. I remember how he would take Matt into his work room and he and Matt would work on projects. Matt had his own little tool bench Dad had built for him. He spoiled Matt and Erin a lot, but loved them dearly. He would also try to make it to any baseball, softball or soccer game they might be playing in. I miss him today and everyday and wish he were here to say Happy Birthday to.

My parents on their wedding day.
Also enjoying a friends wedding.

My Dad joined the Navy when he was only 17 years old. These guys were just kids when they served their country in such a great way.
