BAKING A CAKE

Tayler received a Easy Bake Oven for Christmas. She has not been able to use it yet, but they recently baked a"real" cake. They saved Pappy and I a piece of cake and it was delicious. They had no trouble making the cake, icing the cake, but when it was time to put the sprinkles on the lid fell off the bottle. There were sprinkles everywhere.

Tayler and the sprinkles.

Sydney has a few of her own.

One more of Tayler, my little model.
The finish product

Good Job Ladies.

And one more of their pretty cake.
Oh, it was a chocolate cake.
Doesn't get any better than that.

ODDS AND ENDS OF TAYLER AND SYDNEY

As I said yesterday I have no more Christmas pictures until I get some from Ryann and Erin. I was looking through my pictures and found a few of Tayler and Sydney enjoying themselves during September and October. They enjoyed a hayride, went four wheeling, fishing, and watched their daddy and Pappy Rich take a ride on a zip line. Sydney did climb the whole way to the top of the line, but there was no way that little girl could have ridden that. She just to little.

Thinking they might need a cup of hot chocolate after their hayride.
Sydney must have her Nana's hat on.

Staying warm.

Don't they look cosy.
On a warmer Fall day the girls went fishing.
A fish - I wonder who caught it?
Is Tayler going to touch it?
It looks like Sydney does not want to get to close to it.
What a goofy girl Tayler is.
That is an ugly fish and it looks like neither of the girls touched it.
Can't say that I would have either.
Riding on the 4 wheeler with Mary.

Sydney on the zip line steps with her Pappy Rich.
And one more ride.

MORE OF SANTA PICTURES

I am completely out of Christmas pictures. I hope to get Erin's pictures on Saturday so there will be more from Christmas. Ryann will have pictures also, but she will do corrections on them so they look really nice. I never get that done. These few pictures were taken when Santa visited Matt and Ryann's house so here they are and that's it. We are visiting Ron's parents tomorrow with the girls and Erin so hopefully we will get a few pictures of the girls with their great grandparents pictures. I won't promise anything because for some reason I never get it any pictures taken. Marshall is not sure if he like Santa or not.

CHRISTMAS JAMMIES

What is it about Christmas and Christmas Jammies? The girls all got matching PJ's and new bathrobes. Marshall had green Christmas PJ's on too, but his were not matching. That's something that's just not going to happen. Here are the end of my Christmas pictures, but I know both Ryann and Erin have lots of pictures so I will be downloading theirs too.

Dylann Jean on Christmas Eve
Daddy and Marshall
Not sure what Sydney's up to, but it probably has something to do with her Polly Pocket toys.
What a happy little girl.
Tayler and Sydney got a radio, CD for their toy room.
They borrowed one of Mommy's CD and were having a dance party and using the baton's as microphones.

Marshall came to see what all the noise was about.
He did a little dancing too.
Marshall was busy.
He would walk through the door, turn around and come back through.
It kept him busy and off the steps for a period of time.
Here I come again!!!
Singing into her baton
Sydney sees what Tayler does and will often repeat it.
New PJ's and she has chocolate on them already.
I think she was eating Santa's cookies.

CHRISTMAS PRESENTS

I think we flipped Tayler out when we told her we were going to open gifts, one person at a time, one gift at a time and she would go last since she was the oldest. Not very nice of us, but we did do it a little different this year. Usually Tayler rips through the presents so quickly and is done before the others are even getting started. It worked pretty well although Tayler still finished first. Dylann still had presents left but that because she is so interested in everything she gets she takes her time checking everything out. Here are a few pictures of present time.

Dylann checking out her jewelry box from Nana and Pappy
When we were leaving on Christmas Eve Tayler asked her mom if they had cookies left to leave Santa. Of course they did. She picked up the list she made for Santa and ripped it up. I asked why she did that. Her answer was I wanted a baton and now I have one. That's all she told me, mommy, and Santa she wanted.

A pet shop bag which they are both keeping the Polly Pockets in.
The pet shop didn't come.
Sydney has a baton too.
I figured if Tayler had one Sydney would want one too.

Marshall with his dump truck
And he's going to be a basketball player too.
Sydney's first American Girl doll.

Dylann and Marshall received an activity desk.
I see many hours of art work being done.

Christmas PJ's will be in the next posting.

One last picture of Christmas dresses.
Interesting we have so many of the girls but forgot about getting Marshall.

THE BEGINING OF CHRISTMAS

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
If you are like our family by the time Christmas gets here it actually feels like you have been celebrating it for a number of days. A week ago Santa visited Matt and Ryann's house so that was the beginning of Christmas for our family. The following day we celebrated Christmas with my extended family which is only Pat at this point who is in the area. We celebrated last Sunday. The older girls each had parties at their schools this week too. Our family attended Candle Light Service on Wednesday evening. Of course if you read the blog we were at the Jingle Bell Jog yesterday morning. Last evening we celebrated Christmas with our children and grandchildren. The kids now go on to celebrate with their other families. We will be going to visit Ron's parents this week with Erin and the girls to have a little Christmas with them too. Matt's children visited with them last week for their bit of Christmas with them too. I have a feeling we are like every other family at Christmas, but isn't that what it's all about? Love of family and the birth of Baby Jesus. Here are a few pictures of our Christmas last evening. Pictures of the presents under the Christmas tree. People keeping busy before eating and waiting to opening presents. That was especially hard for the little girls. All they wanted to do was open their presents.

Presents from the front of the tree
From the side of the tree

And the other side of the tree.
There were even present in front of the fireplace.
Marshall and Daddy hanging out in the kitchen.

The girls.
Tayler is actually behind Dylann and Sydney.
She was searching for something under the desk.
The color of the evening was black for the little girls.
Sydney was sitting with Pappy and made the comment to him as to how he liked her brand new dress. Pappy knew he had been busted. He covered it well and told her how pretty it was and how pretty she looked. They all looked so pretty.
Standing on the coffee table with Pappy in the background.
A little while later the little girls were getting into trouble for doing this.
Bad Pappy!!!
Some how, some way they are always putting on a show.
The girls at their own little table.
Dinner is over, now the clean up begins.
Please grown ups, get done so we can open gifts.
