There was a lot going on this weekend. Not only is it a holiday weekend and we had company visiting on Sunday it seemed everyone else had special plans too. Tayler and Sydney were invited to a birthday party. Marshall went away with his Pap Paw and Jacki to visit his Great Grandma (Pap Paw's Mom). Dylann's and Marshall's Mommy and Daddy went to a wedding. Pappy went to visit his Daddy and Dylann and I went to a baby shower. Before going to the baby shower we decided to stop in to see Old Pappy at Dylann's suggestion since we knew we'd see Great Grandma(Pappy's Mom) at the shower, but not Old Pappy. She made sure Old Pappy knew just how much she loved him. with lots of hugs and kisses. Dylann had a great time at the shower. She had a time picking her seat since she wanted to make sure she had a pink lolly pop favor She wasn't to interested in the food, except for all the fruit and fruit dip and just couldn't wait for the cupcakes. She wasn't into a sandwich, the pasta salad, chips or veggies. She did win a game of Baby Bingo in which she won a tablet and just loved helping Sarah with the gifts and even helping to pick up tissue paper that was on the floor. I think Dylann had a great time and guess what? Everyone just love her hair. There was one comment after another about it. Here are a few pics of Dee at the shower.

THEY HAVE NOT BEEN FORGOTTEN, JUST PROBLEMS WITH THE CAMERA
Really I have not forgotten to take pictures of Dylann and Marshall. It just seems that I never have the camera around anymore. That has to stop and stop now. I was able to get two pictures from their mom's facebook site and decided to us them. Althought there are only two they are adorable. Dylann is going to a baby shower with me on Saturday so hopefully I'll be able to get a lot of pictures of her. Maybe I will also be able to get a few of Marshall who is staying with his PapPaw when we take Dylann home. Matt and Ryann are going to the Outer Banks with her Dad's family the middle of June so hopefully she will bring a lot of pictures home to share. Our family trip is not until September so that group of pitures will have to wait.
This adorable picture of Dylann and Marshall is the one Ryann framed and gave to her Mom on Mother's Day. It's beautiful and I just love it.
We love our only little grandson.

A GRADUATION WITH NO PICTURES
How in the world can you go to a preschool graduation and not take pictures. Well we thought we had a camera. I took the camera and had it in our car. We went to Erin's and rode with her and the girls. I thought we left the camera in our car, in which Pappy agreed. All sorts of wonderful opportunity to get great pictures and here we are without a camera. Following the service everyone was invited to the reception hall for refreshments. At that point Pappy realized he had the camera in his back pocket. Sydney did a wonderful job in performing all of her songs and the pictures would have been so cute. Sydney has one more year at this preschool since her birthday is so late in the year. I can't wait to see how far she will come with another year at this wonderful school.

HOW MANY MONKEYS JUMPING IN THE BED
The reason I titled this as 3 little monkeys is because that is the story that Sydney is learning in her speech class. She really has to learn to say the word "DOCTOR". The ending has to really sound out TOR in Doctor. She is doing much better. We practiced all morning so she would have it down pat for class today. Wouldn't you know it class was cancelled due to flooding. We will have to practice again next week. Here are a few pictures of 3 little monkeys in bed while they were watching TV. Aren't they cute?
I REALLY DID POST EARLIER IN THE WEEK
I really did post earlier in the week. The only problem was that I put in the other blog's user name and password in, so this same posting is on that blog too. The girls spent the night recently and they were dressed very nice and ready to meet their mommy for Mother's Day. My girls love to pose so here are a number of pictures of them doing just that.

SISTER'S HUGS, BIKE RIDES, TRACTOR RIDES
I have lots of pictures to share, but have been to lazy. I finally had to take some time and just put a few up today. What I didn't want was this blog to sit a whole week with nothing posted, so here is a short one. I have a few pictures of Tayler and Sydney enjoying being sisters. Dylann was showing us her bike riding skills and Marshall was taking his sister a tractor ride. Enjoy.

TWO GREAT MOMS
A floral arrangement along with a framed picture of Nana and Pappy with their four grandchildren and one of Ryann's mom with Dylann and Marshall was the center piece of our Mother's Day dinner.
I had a wonderful Mother's Day which actually began on late Saturday afternoon. Tayler and Sydney came up late in the afternoon and we spent some time outside playing. After playing for as long as we could we came in for dinner and then bath time. Bath time is usually a big affair for these two. How many bubbles and cups can we have all the while keeping their hair dry and the water in the tub. The girls had asked us to tape a few shows for them so we were able to watch them before going to sleep. We headed off to Matt and Ryann's house on Sunday morning where the girls met up with their Mommy. Erin and her girls were off for brunch and then they were each having a manicure and pedicure. Nana and Pappy stayed on at Matt and Ryann's house to enjoy the meal that Matt prepared for Ryann, her mom and myself. Of course the children, Pappy and Chuck were fortunate to enjoy this meal too. To even describe the meals that Matt creates is difficult to do. You can say an appetizer, meat, potato, vegetable and dessert, but his meal are so different. He is creative and his meals are all delicious. I am often ask if he learned his culinary skills from me and of course I say NO, NO, NO!!!!!! I believe that I took about 100 pictures on Mother's Day and they will take many days to post. I will also be with the grandchildren our regular two days this week, plus we have Tayler's Grandparents Day on Friday so there will be even more pictures. Stay tuned. The pictures that I've posted today are the only pictures I have of the children with their mothers. What special gifts these children are to their families.

OUR THREE LITTLE GIRLS
Here are a few pictures of our three little beauties. While we were at Dylann's house on Tuesday she had every pillow from all of the living furniture on the floor. She also had her pillow pet, her two special blankets and her Dora sleeping bag to rest on. I don't know who thought she would take a nap, because she would not then. Instead she was leaning against me later in the day and went to sleep. A Nana's touch. The picture of Tayler isn't to great. She came out of school crying. She handed me a note and I wondered what type of trouble she was in. No trouble, just one of her friends was leaving her school. It was unexpected and caused many of the little girls to cry. When she came home she got her notebook out and I suppose she was writing her feelings down. After a period of time she finally stopped crying and started tormenting her sister and Nana. The final pictures are of Sydney. She was on her way to speech class and the one is of her reading a book, or should I say Pappy was reading her a book while she was eating her breakfast. Enjoy!!!

A NEW BLANKIE
Marshall's great grandma recently gave him an afghan that she thought she made for him. After bringing it home we realized that it was just like the one she made for him when he was born. Oh well, now he has one that is a little worn and one that is brand new. He loved playing with it on Tuesday when we gave it to him. All of the pictures are of him with his new blankie, except the first one. That one is of him sitting on his Pappy's lap crying. I'm not sure why he is crying, but for some reason I seem to think that he may have bumped heads with his sister. I don't know what it is, but sometimes I see pictures of babies crying and I think they are just so darn adorable. I just had to include this one.

GUESS WHO RETURNED???
No pictures to share, but I do have a story. I had posted about the bear visiting Matt and Ryann last week when they lost a bird feeder and a squirrel feeder to a bear who recently visited their house. They got a new bird feeder and it looked like a big one. They waited a few days before putting it up. Someone check the bird feeder around 1:30 AM and it was there. The next time someone looked around 4:30 AM it was gone. This bear really knows where to look for food. Ryann runs in the woods around her house and I'm thinking she should carry some pepper spray just encase she runs into this guy. I keep calling him a guy, but maybe it's a mama bear and has little ones. If that's the case that is scary, because they are really mean then. I'm hoping he decides to leave soon
