A floral arrangement along with a framed picture of Nana and Pappy with their four grandchildren and one of Ryann's mom with Dylann and Marshall was the center piece of our Mother's Day dinner.
I had a wonderful Mother's Day which actually began on late Saturday afternoon. Tayler and Sydney came up late in the afternoon and we spent some time outside playing. After playing for as long as we could we came in for dinner and then bath time. Bath time is usually a big affair for these two. How many bubbles and cups can we have all the while keeping their hair dry and the water in the tub. The girls had asked us to tape a few shows for them so we were able to watch them before going to sleep. We headed off to Matt and Ryann's house on Sunday morning where the girls met up with their Mommy. Erin and her girls were off for brunch and then they were each having a manicure and pedicure. Nana and Pappy stayed on at Matt and Ryann's house to enjoy the meal that Matt prepared for Ryann, her mom and myself. Of course the children, Pappy and Chuck were fortunate to enjoy this meal too. To even describe the meals that Matt creates is difficult to do. You can say an appetizer, meat, potato, vegetable and dessert, but his meal are so different. He is creative and his meals are all delicious. I am often ask if he learned his culinary skills from me and of course I say NO, NO, NO!!!!!! I believe that I took about 100 pictures on Mother's Day and they will take many days to post. I will also be with the grandchildren our regular two days this week, plus we have Tayler's Grandparents Day on Friday so there will be even more pictures. Stay tuned. The pictures that I've posted today are the only pictures I have of the children with their mothers. What special gifts these children are to their families.
