Today's blog is in celebration of Father's Day. There are many individuals who influence us in our life's, but I think our parents our usually the two people who we think of first. Our parents guide and direct us as little children. They are the ones we often go to when we have a problem that seems to big for us to settle ourselves. Then comes the point when our parents are not just parents but who has become our friend. My parents are both gone and oh how I miss them. You don't know what I would do for one more hug, one more "I love you" or a glance at them that isn't a picture. Today I thank God for the Father I had and I celebrate the husband I have who I think has been a wonderful father to his children. I also honor Matt on this day for the Daddy he is. Now the times seem so busy with lots of guidance and just plain hard work but someday the time will come and it will be much quicker than you can ever imagine. Your children will be grown. Matt, keep being the Daddy that you are and your children will honor you with the love and respect that you show them now. You are a great Dad and I love watching you be a Daddy to Dylann and Marshall. I have include four generation of fathers for you to enjoy. All are with us with the exception of my Dad.
And having fun with his little lady, Dylann
"OLD PAPPY" with his two oldest granddaughters.
The first generation with the fourth generation.
IF ROSES GROW IN HEAVEN
LORD PLEASE PICK A BUNCH FOR ME.
PLEASE PLACE THEM IN MY FATHER'S ARMS
AND TELL HIM THEY'RE FROM ME
TELL HIM I LOVE HIM AND MISS HIM
AND WHEN HE TURNS TO SMILE
PLACE A KISS UPON HIS CHEEK
AND HOLD HIM FOR AWHILE
BECAUSE REMEMBERING HIM IS EASY
I DO IT EVERYDAY,
BUT THERE'S AN ACHE WITHIN MY HEART
THAT WILL NEVER GO AWAY.
